Afternoon everyone,
The second outing of Evo 1.5 was more of an embarrassing event rather than
spectacular. We had a DNF after the car became bogged. Doing a bit of the opposite
lock the back wheels got caught in a ditch running along side the road and got stuck
on the door sills. As a result, there was no traction to drive out. We tried pushing
and I even had the navigator jumping up and down in boot trying to get traction.
Still nothing.
In the end, we just sat on the bonnet and drank coffee (trying to keep warm) until the
recovery vehicle arrived. The driver of the recovery vehicle just laughed and asked
us next time if we could give him a challenge. The humour was obviously lost on us.
Other than that it was a great night on some very good roads.
