Ryan,
You can use the L20B Block with Z22 crank ($400 for good ones). The block
needs the mains tunnel bored to suit the crank main journals and some
clearancing required for rods/counterweights ($300+). A Z22 cranked engine
would be responsive. I would use Z24 rods ($100-$300) with 30mm compression
height 87mm forged pistons ($1200 with rings).
Hope this has been of some help.
Cheers
Feral Errol

Subject: RE: L 13 RODS
Errol,
My next project is building a efi turbo setup for my L20, When it's goingv
reliably I want to build a stroker bottom end for it (2.4) using a L20 head
with some work done to it. I figure this way won't need to muck around with
timing covers. Anyway what parts should I use for a bullet proof bottom
end, where would I source them and how much approx the cost. It is a long
term project as just bought an apartment so just getting prices for Guides
etc.
Ryan
