dishwashing detergent will cause rust.
Put it in dry and very clean,Fit the rubber to the glass and the chrome if your
has it,then place a 4mm cord in the chanel that holds the rubber to the body.
Have the cross over of the cord at the bottom,get one person to hold the
windscreen over the hole the press lightly,hop in the car and pull one end of
the cord so the rubber lip fold over the body,then work your way around pulling
the string out,I find a up angle on the cord works well.
Sometimes the aid of a small screwdriver helps,Some cars are a lot harder to do
but the 510 is very easy.
Unless its a 68-69 window into a 71-72 car then it wont fit.
