David,
CM49 is the steel grade of the rods (Chrome Moly 40 ton/square inch tensile
strength or something similar you budding engineers? ) . They should also
have screw caps on the big ends rather than bolts and nuts
I have seen these rods run up to 9000 rpm on an FJ without damage. The rods
are extremely expensive though. I believe $600 AUD each here if you can get
them!!!!
.
UK's Arrow rods look to be a better solution in terms of bang for buck.

Are you still interested in the rear axle assembly David?. Freight would be
about $500 AUD to the UK air freight!

Cheers
Feral Errol

Subject: RE l13 rods

In responce to Andrew smiths question on FJ24 rods, I rally a Nissan 240RS
here in the Uk and my competition manual says the FJ24 rods ars 140mm long
and the remarks state CM40 what ever that means may be it is the type of
steel but Nissan claim the rods are good for 8000rpm when polished and
balanced. hope this is or help.
