Tim,
I recently did a full reco on an e15 and found that a lot of the rubber
vacum type hoses connecting to the carb etc were split.Have you checked
these?Have you checked the idle screw as it sounds like the cold start
fast idle is working but when it gets hot and the butterfly maybe closing
to far.As for erratic idle have you checked the points,dwell,timing,plugs
leads,condenser etc.Without seeing the car its pretty hard to say what
the problem is but I would start by looking for vacum leaks.
