twin carb Alfa's have a pressure reg that is adjustable. Cheers Feral Errol -----Original Message----- Listers, My electric fuel pump is supplying too
much pressure and is flooding the (twin SU) carbies. I have three options, fit a pressure
regulator, modify the output pressure of the one I have or fit an SU pump. I do not want to use an SU pump because I
don't want the unreliability of (more) British rubbish. 1.What do I need to know about pressure
regulators? Where can I get an adjustable one? Do any cars come with them
standard? 2.Has anyone modified a bluebird pump to
reduce the static pressure but keep the same flowrate? If you don't know about Bluebird electric
fuel pumps then the following questions will seem odd.... 3.Can the plunger part of the electric
fuel pump can be pulled apart? I would like to remove and fiddle with the
output valve. 4.Should there be a washer between the
small spring and the plunger body?
