Sorry I havn't got back to you sooner but our e-mail hasn't been letting

The specs for my motor are as follows
Block
STD 1600
Decked 0.5mm to bring up compression
Valve relief added for clearance inlet valves on maximum lift & to aid
air flow by unshrouding valves.
Flat top pistons with valve relief(these are a stock nissan item but I'm
not sure of the number)
Standard piston rings
Tapered plugged oil ways (as per How to Hot Rod your datsun)
Baffled sump
Inside of block had all casting marks removed & cleaned
Bearing clearances to tolerances in How to Hot Rod your datsun
New oil pump with
Plugged oil filter bypass(engine needs warming up before reving)
Balanced crank
Balanced & matched shot peined con rods(these are the later ones with
the larger rod bolts)
Balanced & lightened flywheel
High tensile capscrews for main bearing caps
Nismo head gasket
Head
1600 SSS
Ported & polished(I did this myself using information in How to Hot Rod
your datsun)
Match ported to Delvo inlet manifold(ports are approx 36mm at manifold
face)
280Z Inlet & Exhaust valves (requires new inlet seats)
Reliefs match gasket to unshroud valves
Reg Cook stage 3 rally cam(Reg Cook was works driver here in NZ)
High lift valve springs to match cam from Reg Cook
Refaced rocker arms (Camtech in Christchurch do them)
0.42mm removed from head(Combustion chamber volume 32.8cc)
Compression ratio is 11.0:1
Carbs
40mm Dellorto Side draught carbs(I now have 40mm throttle bodies)
34mm chokes
Distributor
Standard distributor with luminition optronic electronic ingition
(Now electronic via link engine management)
I still have the luminition kit
Exhaust
4 into Extractors (manufactured by Coby)
2" exhaust with single large coby muffler
This engine has gone to over 8500rpm & sat there on a fast tarmac. At
the time the rev counter I had only went to 8000rpm & the needle was off
the gauge.
