Hey Daniel

Lakeside is still on. We have a full field of cars ranging from dattos and skylines to full on Improved production race cars(and maybe a couple of Super Tourers).
We hope to have the cars on the track by 8am and run thru until noon.  Spectating is FREE.
To get to Lakeside head north out of Brisbane on Gympie Road. Take the first turn left after the pine Rivers Bridge. Which is the Doles Rock Rd exit. Just follow this Rd for about 7km and turn left into LAKESIDE RD.  This road goes straight to the track.
Hope to see you there!
If ya have any problems call me on 0407 510046

Just wondering if the lap sprints are still on for Saturday?  I don't have my car in Brisbane but I still want to have a look at others machinery.  Could someone tell me if there is a fee for spectators and most importantly, HOW DO I GET TO THE LAKESIDE TRACK FROM ST LUCIA?  I don't have a clue where it is.

Thanks

Subject: Lakeside Lap sprints

Hi Guys

Datsun Car Club of Qld is having lap sprints at Lakeside on 02/06/2001.

Event will run from 8.00am until 12.00 noon with lunch provided after. This event is open to race, rally or street cars. It is mainly street cars that run.  There will be approx 2 hours of free practice.  In this time there will be  driving instructors on hand to give you advise on driving techniques and help you with the correct lines to take around the track. Following this will be timed runs.
The format being that there is only 2 cars on the track at once so you can go as hard as you want for 3 flying laps.  If time permits we will have more timed runs. But most people prefer to go back to free time.

Anyways cost is a big $60 and you need long sleeve shirt, long pants and a decent helmet.  No CAMS basic license is required and you don't have to be a member of the club to run. Any car can run as long as it meets safety requirements.
Things that are checked: Brakes, Brake lights, seatbelts or harnesses, Oil or water leaks, and battery(has to be secure)

If anyone is interested they can email the club on [EMAIL PROTECTED] or ring on 0410310548 for more info.
NUMBER OF ENTRANTS NEED TO BE FINALISED BY 02/05/2001.
So come on guys have a go!
Thanks for your time

Scott
