That leads me to a new question.  What would be a good comp ratio for a
turbo engine that has up to 14psi of boost fed into it. I've checked with
Corky Bell's book but the section on compression ratio is extremely open
ended, so I'm a little confused at the moment at what will offer good
detonation resistance as well as off boost driveabilty.  Most of the time
there will only be about 7psi going into the engine, only reaching high
boost occasionally.
