Lachlan,
The problem with your indicator sounds like you have connected something
back to front in the front loom. Very easy to do with bullet connectors,
just check the colour codes match either side of the connectors and you
should get this one sorted. There is only one flasher unit unless you have
hazards and then there are two flasher units.

Subject: Thanks - lights wired, now indicators
List, thanks to everyone for their help and advice (especially Terry)during
my effort to rewire my lights. I was fealing very incompetent after I had
rewired the thing for the third time and the fuse was still blowing when I
switched on the high beam. I had triple checked everything and could not
work our what the problem was. Then finally I thought to check the part I
had just purchased for the project, ie the relays, and discovered that the
changeover relay was broken and was the cause of all my grief and extra 4
hours spent on trying to locate the problem. So much for assuming that the
relays I purchased would not be faulty.
Anyway, I now have to try and work out my indicators. I have attempted
hhoking them up, together with the park lights, however, wehn I connect them
up the passenger indicator and parker lights stay on and the blinker does
not flash, however if I test the indicators without the front ones wired up,
the flasher works and the rear indicators work. Is there a separate flasher
for the front, or is there another source of my problem.
Any help much appreciated.
