Fast Fours Jamboree was a great day. (Apart from 50 cars dropping oil on
the track.) Personally I had a good day. Not great, not bad, just good.
With crap, road tires and an open diff I battled trackion and clutch
problems all day all I managed was a 14.5 at 99mph wheelspinning through
1st, 2nd and 3rd. But along the way I did get to beat many cars including a
chiptorque WRX and the 8 second Maztech Series 6 RX7 driven by Anthony
Rodrigues. Sure, I had a 7 second head start....but I crossed the line
first. And that's all that counts. (It was it bit scary when I crossed the
line and moments later he fly's by at some ungodly speed!) I'm looking
forward to doing some more mods to my car and really get it hooting! 400
horsepower here I come.
