Aftermarket-wise Davies-Craig fans are very slim (but exxy)...

there are also 5 blade 12 inch thermofans on datsun pulsars (i 
think) which you could grab from pick-a-part which are about 65mm 
blade to motor end. i have some at home which i could measure for 
you if you like?? the "slimness" comes from the motor, which is 
very flat and only about 20mm thick.

Aircon thermofans are also very thin, but their fan/blade design for 
const operation when on means they are a restriction in 
intermittent operation :(
