I'm assuming that you have the elec dissy from a series 2 Bluebird and so I
would suggest looking for a coil from that car .. ?

Subject: Electronic ignition - is resistor needed?
Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2001 04:12:15 -0000
List,
After reading some recent posts I have discovered that my car, which has
electronic ignition, does not have the correct coil and therefore I need to
purchase the correct coil which I think is a bosch one suitable for nissan L
series. I was wanting to confirm the following:
1. Do I need to have a resistor whith the new coil or is one not needed?
2. Is there anything I need to check before I purchase the new coil, ie,
will any coil suitable for L series electronic ignition engines work?
Thanks heaps.
Lochie
