David,

In Julian Edgars book "21 century performance". His rule of thumb is one
litre of fuel per min is equivalent to 200HP. So 4 X 214cc = 856cc or 170 HP
roughly.

What were the bosch part numbers of the injectors and can you send me the
links to the web sites for the injector flow info (was it autospeed or
wolf/ems?).

Regards
Trev

Subject: injectors

List,
I have purchased 4 injectors from the local u-pull-it for $11 each (for my
custom manifold). I could choose from VL, XF and 2.6 magna injectors, and
ruled out the VL ones due to their mounting style. Both the XF and Magna
injectors were bosch units, and using their part numbers and numerous
internet
sites, discovered that the magna ones were good for 214cc/min @37psi, and
the
XF ones were only good for 185cc/min @37psi. Hence, I got the 4 magna ones
with fuel rail and pressure reg for $44!. (Incidentally these magna
injectors
were standard issue on some 8cyl porsche and 2.3L saab turbo engines!)

I feel it may be a good idea to get them cleaned and flow tested, so does
anyone know a good place in adeaide to do this, and how much should I expect
to pay?

Also, does anyone know a formula to find how much hp/kw these injectors will
flow, before maxing out?

Cheers,
David Thompson.
