I'll do my best with a text image to show you:

          / /
         / / (Wipers)
        / /
       / /
      0-----------0-----o (A) 1st & 2nd wiper rods, spindles + bolt
             (^) (^) \ (B) bent extenter
            (1st) (2nd) --o (B) same piece as above + bolt
                          ---- (Wiper Motor)
                          | | "
                          ---- "
Ok, so the wiper rod is connected to the wiper spindles and the extender is
bolted to the second piece of the wiper rod (the angle between the two bits
should point down, not up) and the other side of the extender bolts to the
wiper motor.

Hope that helps... anyone know a way of explaining it clearer?

Subject: Windscreen wiper linkages

This may seem like a stupid question, but is there a special way that the
linkages for wipers connect up. I have been reassembling my car and when I
have hooked up the wipers they jam when I turn them on and I have to
disconnest them so the wiper motor can complete its cycle. I guess it is
probably trial and error, but is there more than one way to connect up the
linkages and brackets to the body where the wipers go on.
Any advice appreciated.
