For my project, I have an intercooler from some sort of supra.  It's 300 x 380 x 60 with the core been 380 x 190 x 60 and from what I've heard, they do quite a good job and also they shouldn't require any cutting.   It cost me about 220 bucks from JMS in Adelaide.  I'm not sure if it would be better, I think due to the larger frontal area it would be exposed to more ambient air to cool the charged air but its hard to say since the one you are talking about is double the depth of mine.  I guess if your budget extends to something bigger and better I'd let it go but for a hundred big ones it sounds pretty good if your on a budget.

Subject: Intercooler for Z18et project / Good / bad / indifferent??

Just wondering people if you could help me out here.

How would an intercooler (air to air) about 280x250mm with the core being 180mm across and 250mm high about 120mm deep be for a Z18ET project? The project would involve the stock highflowed Garret T03 turbo, standard injectors and ecu running really no more than about 12psi (with dif ecu and bigger injectors etc) ?? would this be a viable intercooler ? It would be costing me no more than 100 bux max. (long story)
I also want to cut as LITTLE as possible away from the front.
Just wondering wot you all think??

Cheers
