Andrew,
You can attach it to the ignition switch if you like but a safer method is
to use a LPG safety switch cut-out. You attach it to the negative side of
the coil, and use it to trigger your fuel pump relay. They cost about $30
and will switch for a few seconds when you turn the key (ie put some current
through the coil) even though there's no pulsing, which serves as a pump
primer. No ignition pulses = no fuel pump (which is probably the safest way
to do it) Most come with a quick wiring diagram on the package, to help
when you're talking to the LPG specialist, ask them for the switch which
controls the solenoid on the tank - you need the same product but use it to
switch a relay instead of a solenoid.

Hi everyone
I want to set up a relay switched supply for fuel pumps and stuff when
the ignition is on. I recall tom or zac was doing this a while ago - what
trigger supply/wire did you use to switch the relay when the ignition is
on?? terry suggested using the ballast resistor wires - the wiring diag
shows a black/white and a black/blue wire so which one should be used?
