They didn't only have L16's actually - the Violet also came with a L14 in some markets eg UK. The 710 came in both solid axle (J series) which was badged Violet in most markets and the 710 IRS models came with L18 & L20B and mainly found in the USA. They may have come in various other local guises as well especially in South Africa (hardest place to find things about that) I have a workshop manual that unfortunately only covers the British and US export releases of the Violet and 710. The Violet badge indeed was also used on what we call a Stanza A10 in Aus as there is a beat up imported Violet from Malaysia at my place of work that has what we recognise as a Stanza body but with a L20B standard as I've had a look at the factory identification plate.

What year would that be?
All 710 violets had L16
Now I think i have seen a violet that also had a stanza badge on the boot and it was a 80's model "A10" in the usa they called them 510's.they had L18,L20's etc.I think this was turbo as well?.

    isn't a violet the same as a stanza? but 2.2L or 2.0L?

      710 = Violet (we didn't get this one)
      810 = 200B
      910 = Bluebird SI, II & III.
