I assume as a race car it does not have a speedo. Can't you drive along at a certain revs and see what speed it is, by having another car with a speedo driving next to or behind you?

all i can suggest is that you contact the manufacturer or talk to someone who knows hollingers(try contacting a v8 privateer team as they will have contacts for the supplier and will be more willing to talk than the top teams)

It was in the car when I bought it. The car is a dedicated race car (Circuit), just trying to work out ratio's, in particular 5th gear.

I've got an FJ20 in front of it. I know about Hollinger gearboxes and their reputation, in fact this gearbox would be one of the best gearbox's I've ever used. I am more interested in knowing if they were built with a standard gear ratio set as I would rather not pull it down unless I have to.

Subject: Gear ratio's
Hi all,

The gearbox in my 1600 is known as a "Hollinger 3-speed" so I have been told. It is actually a five speed box with very close ratios.

Has anyone heard of these before, and also would anyone know the ratio's, particularly 5th gear?

Cheers,

Mark.
