10.5:1 will run on 96 or 98 octane with 36 deg total advance as long as the cam is 66 deg or more. Compression pressure of around 175-180 psi  @ 350 rpm seems to be about the limit of LRP with around 10% higher with Optimax.  200 psi at sea level on a 40 degree day going up a steep hill will test it out.

i'm about to put my l20b stroker back together.......

estimated compression ratio 10.5:1 (583.5cc swept volume, 42cc head, 10.5cc pistons, 9 cc gasket

i'm also worried that even with a re-graphed dizzy (max 36deg advance) it will ping and anoy the crap out of me.......

i'm hoping 98 optimax will do the trick.
