Chris, I have 44mm inlets in my U67 head. Valve lenghts were slightly different. Sorry I don't remember the measurements, but they were shorter. You will probably need new seats too. Depending on the installed height of the valves in the seats you may need new lash pads and this may depend on your cam etc.
EG I am using 170thou lash pads at the moment with a std cam. Normally you would only use 118thou lash pads but due to valve lenght and the depth of the cut on the valve seat, the lash pads need to be thicker to correct the rocker arm geometry.
