Title: RE: help required - l20b ignition probs

I bought a 50' 1" roll for around $50.  I then wrapped, as best I could with the extractors in the car, around each runner starting at the head end.  Then I kept wrapping until I got down to the collector and stopped.  I wrapped the tape pretty tight near the head so the tape holds itself and I used some thin wire twisted to hold the ends.  I then painted all the wrap with high temp, silicone based I think, white paint.  This made the wrap look like a single sheet.  Then for a couple of weeks the paint smoked and smelled when I drove.  After that it was fine.  I was left with about 30 feet of tape left, so a roll should be heaps.  And you would be better of doing the extractors when they are off the car.
