Yep the general public can go but you need a ticket. not sure on 
price but someone told me $22 or $33 per day?!?! an absolute rip 
off....

if you're interested though, Society of Automotive Engineers Vic 
have the following number listed for more details - 9326 7166

however, last year we were only asked to show tickets once. 
although we did have the tickets, i think we just flashed an 
envelope before being let through, so if you are that way inclined.... 
:)

last year the ticket really only got you a sausage and a hamburger 
for lunch.
