Interesting, I've read that VLSD's are a lot more sensitive to Oil quality and temp. than clutched. I know that Nissan Skylines have a similar problem that over time the diff becomes 'more slip' and less limited and changing the viscosity and properly flushing the used oil can make an impovement. Nice for the road though, noticeably smoother and more progressive in hook up out of corners.
