Daniel, My torque wrench starts at 20ft/lb. I just make sure all the dowls from the cam towers are in the right spots then stick the cam in the towers with sone oil on the bearing surfaces. Make sure the threads on the bolts are clean. Bit of oil under the heads and on the threads then use a spanner 12 mm from memory and pull tight with one finger. 11-18ft/lbs is stuff all so you only need to seat the towers on the head. Over tightening causes tears as you destroy the alloy treads in the head. At the end of this you should be able to turn the cam freely. Regards Trev

I checked my gregory's manual, genuine Datsun L14/16/18 manual and How to Hotrod your datsun with no results. Just a little stuck at the moment Cheers Daniel Kroehn --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
