Wayne,

I have rebuilt a VS Ecotec motor after it ran with out oil, the oil pumps
on them have a habit of blocking up with crap due to the pick up being
right at the bottom of the sump and the size of the pick up is puny.  Whats
your oil pressure like?

The timing, idle and mixture are all controlled by the computer so your
problem can't be there.  Holden would have (should have???) replaced the
spark plugs, leads, checked the coil packs and the like so there shouldn't
be probelms there.

There isnt much left to go wrong.  The crank angle sensors are known to
play silly buggers at times.  That may be the problem. Then there is the
cam angle sensor, two temp sensors, two knock sensors?

As many tow drivers have told me when they have been towing my commodore,
"If holden didnt make the commodore then i wouldnt have a job"!!

Just some idea's? Hope you find the problem.
