I posted a while back about probs with intermittent travel problems with my
clutch, gears grinding..... I got some good answers, but basically after
looking into the simple solutions with no results, I will be pulling the box
off to check things out (sr 20 with 71c box). While I have it off, I would
like to ensure reliability for quite a while, so for the sake of it I will
replace wearable items so I don't have to worry about it again till the
clutch goes (quite a new clutch and pressure plate). I also don't want to
end up changing one thing, putting it back on and finding it fixed nothing.
What really needs replacing? I would like to replace the throw lever (or I
think it is called the withdrawal lever) just in case it is weakening. I
have heard of these cracking and flexing, then snapping. All the springs
(i.e. retainer spring, holder spring) will be replaced, and the release
bearing also. Is there anything else you guys suggest replacing while I am
at it. I have heard that on the sr20, while you have the box off, it is an
idea to replace the rear seal on the engine as they are prone to leaks. I
think they are fairly easy to remove and replace?? Should I bother? Will
also do the rear seal on the box. Any other advice is appreciated.

regards Greg
