Zac,

Common remote reservoir to use is from an Urvan - it runs dual master and
also clutch so I'm not sure whether it's what you're after, but you should
be able to bloke off the clutch outlet if you don't need to use it. The
mounting is suitable to go on the drivers side strut tower; on an FJ
conversion i've seen them mounted either side i.e. fuse panel or near the
standard battery position.

A R30 cylinder should be OK without a booster, the only difference between
cylinders that are intended to be used with a booster and those without is
the pre-set tension on the springs for the rear brake line so if you don't
get a lot of rear brake action out of it without a booster then that's what
the problem will be.

regards
Terry

Subject: remote reservoir

guys, picked up a new master cylinder yesterday. It is an R30 unit and I
fitted
the remote reservoir thingos to it. The only problem is that I couldn't find
a
decent reservoir with good mounting points on it. I'm going to check marlows
for a new one now but if that turns up nothing, is there anything factory
that
I could use?

Also can this type of mastercylinder be mounted without a brake booster as I
couldn't find a good and suitable brake booster.

cheers!
zac
