hey again, probably getting sick of me by now but i'm nearlly finished.
ok i got the wiring diagram off daniel it helped me heaps (thanx daniel) but when i was figuring it all out with the diagram and looking at how my paddock basher was wired up i found that my paddock basher was a lucas alternator and my datto was a bosch. Conclusion: Starter solenoid is meant to have 4 wires on it, battery, 2 that run to connector, one that goes to the starer motor. My car has 6, the 2 extra are, one that runs from the alternator to the starer solenoid. the second is a power lead to some fancing ignition stuff (i think). The thick red and white wire that runs to the alternator that meets up with the starter solenoid red and whit wire has been cut at the alternator side (that's what i think th alernator to starter soleniod is replacing). but the old red and white wire still remains on the starer solenoid. would what he done worked (with the alternator to solenoid wire)? should i put it back to original anyway? Should i put the lucas alternator on my car? my volts gauge was reading 12 volts all the time and now it's starting to drop below, it barely starts the car u need to push start my car most the time. The starter motor seems to be packing it in so i was going to change that over should i change the alternator too? thanx in advance keith _____________________________________________________________ Get free email for life---> http://www.carjunky.com --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
