hey guys, (and gals) a friend is giving me a clapped out L20B which i am thinking about rebuilding to put into my shitter 180b for daily driving use, and i reckon its a good chance to learn about engine internals...
my question is an easy one...whats it going to cost to rebuild this? i am wanted to learn to do it, and i have a guy willing to teach me.. i was thinking, a general rebuild, rings, bearings, maybe some head machining..nothing too drastic though (or expensive). if i can cover most of the labour myself, are these simple parts expensive.. also, can u do some subtle things on a rebuild to better the performance of an L20b? i can get a 32/36 for nothing and i was plannign on running it.. also i can get my hands on just about any L-Series spare parts i need (no exotic SSS heads though)..would a L16 head improve compression therefor performance? any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.. tim _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
