>From what I understand hotter plugs are more prone to detonation under
extreme operating conditions so the colder plug is more suitable for competition.
Colder plugs are more prone to fouling though & can be harder to start.
I have heard of competion engine being started & warmed up on warm
plugs & then changed over to the cold plug for a race.
