Mark, Using the factory rod system in a 510 works well with twin webbers,, It would be more work to convert to cable but to no real advantage. Cables break,and stick.....
A carbon coated bicycle brake cable would be ok but it willnot last.as at the end of the day they need lubing and dirt sticks to oil,,OOHH thats a sticky cable(a $100 cable is still crappy) What slop in a rod set up,,Only if its not set up right.
