About $125 will get you a set of good rings, bearings and an overhaul gasket
set.  The head machining including reseating valves is about $300.  You
would end up with a good stock engine.

For more power you need to improve the breathing,  cam, ports work, carb
upgrade, exhaust flow improvement.
