Subject: RE: HELP - comp ratiothanks for the excellent advice terry.
the dyno guy won't let me do a dyno session while it is still pinging..............he said it was ultra rich at cruise and slightly lean at the top end........i'll try some experiments again.
i've already got 38mm chokes......i was hoping to try 34 or 36mm to increase air velocity but also reduce the volume of air. i've checked it against the weber graph.......expected rpm of peak hp vs choke size vs engine capacity. i estimated 5250 for peak hp + 2335cc = 36mm choke.
since the head has been shaved about 30 thou.........i've had to alter the chain guide to reduce slack.........so i'm only really going by the valve movement (measuring lift at the head..........from memory the inlet has to be open 0.4mm more than the exhaust at tdc).
what plugs do you recommend for high cylinder pressures........
i'll get the engine pressure tested for that water leak too before i pull it all apart.
thanks,
dunc.
