Dan,
A14GX
engine was very popular in the 70's as virtually a bolt in upgrade to A12
in B110 (1200 in Oz). Shame they didn't come with a 5 speed box but with twin 40
DCOE's instead of SU's, 140/150hp 1200's where a weapon in those days and I used
to love hosing off hot 1600's, and most 6's of the day, Alfettas and the like
were a good match as they had 5 gears. I had one for many years, scary how fast
it was with those puny little brakes and tyres etc, 185/70x12 Goodyears or
Olympics where all that you could get in those days and the 13" range wasn't
much better.
regards
Terry
-----Original Message-----After browsing through the 1973 Japan Car Index, I spotted the Datsun Excellent Sunny (B110) GX, 1400. Very cool little car with twin headlight grill. Has anyone seen one? I knew the 120y was released with an L16 as the Excellent GX later but never knew the 1200 was sold with an A14GX engie, would have been a good performer in it's time. Plus there was a 4dr sss 610 Bluebird ,( L16) released in 73 too interesting....
