Your missing the point, they aren't 15 1/4", they're 390mm. i.e. a metric
size.

My fathers jag had them too. With a 4 3/4" PCD stud pattern wheel - i.e. 
imperial. Arrrrghhhh.

Makes about as much sense as the much vaunted GM 6.35mm bolt.
