Andy,

You probably find that the cable is a little tired at the other end too. A
cable usually lasts around 15 yrs or 300'Ks so I'd buy a new one or find one
at a wrecker that's not frayed. You can easily tell if they're tired by
gently running your finger along the bit that loops over the 1/2 moon. I
just thought of another thing, if you get one from a wrecker try and get one
of an auto as they tend not to fray as quickly as a manual as the throttle
hasn't been opened and shut as often.

regards
Terry

Subject: throttle cable

hey list,
i just snapped the throttle cable at the carbie end and i was wondering if i
can buy a generic replacement at repco/supercheap/autobarn and the like? or
will i have to rip something off a wreck? and what would be the basic
procedure for installing the new cable? any help would be appreciated.
cheers!
