Eric, That list doesn't take into account that the Japanese hp advertised ratings scale was changed sometime late 70's early 80's. A L16 was advertised as 96 bhp but this was on the gross rating scale and SAE DIN scale is actually around 75hp. The is roughly 20% difference between the DIN and gross scale. We used to jokingly call them Japanese horses in the old days. It's a bit more technical than this but gross scale didn't have water pump, alternator etc connected.
