Eddie, I sounds to me like the C220 has had the drive train from a C120 fitted or yours may be a transition model before the new C22 range was released. Our C120 had an A15 and a special short 60 series 5 speed with linkage operation of the selectors. We got the C22 (not C220) here from 87 -91 with the Z20 series engine and 5W71B box cable operated or the LD20B with the same box again (cable shifter operated). The A series 5 speed box bell housing will not fit any L series box. Cheers Feral Errol

Any body got any idea what type of gearbox it would be? The LD20 has a RS5W71B and according to the book the A15 should have an R4W60L.. The reason I ask is I'm wondering if I can use the bellhousing to attach an L series five speed to an A series. (the Vanette box has the linkage on the side, column shift style so I'd need to use a different rear end) Cheers, Eddie [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.ratdat.com --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
