G'day all,
Sounds like everyone has the same problem as me with the confusion between
Datsport and Datspeed and the two Barry's
I was actually talking about Barry Burns from Datsport.
>From the sounds of things they can both shaft us at times (I bought a L20B
years ago from Datspeed which I was told had flat top pistons, when the head
came off about 3 years later they were dished pistons........not impressed
and I haven't delt with them since which is a pitty cos they always appeared
to deliver the goods).
My only concern is to pay for a loom and send away my dash wiring to never
get anything back.
I might have a go at getting the wiring to work again but I pulled it all
out a while ago and painted the engine bay pre installing my FJ turbo. I was
carefull when I pulled the wiring out but I think I've lost a small part of
the loom :-( cos there doesn't appear to be any power at the fuse box.
When I hook a wire direct from the battery to the fuse box it doesn't help
me out cos it still doesn't have ignition or dash lights etc so I'm thinking
I've got a bad earth or am missing an earth wire somewhere. I can't see any
loose wires anywhere in the bay but it's pretty hard to see with the FJ so I
might pull the inlet off so I can have a better look
I don't know what I'm talking about so any suggestions are welcome.
Cheers
Swanny (hopefully soon to be another Canberra Dat driver)
