You need to use steel orings to get optimum sealing.I havent used hylomar as a sealant on head gaskets.The guy who did my block gave me some stuff that seemed to work well.Someone mention some stuff last week that sounded good.I think its one of those things that either seals first time or gives you grief.I had a turbo holden 6 years back and the head was off every other weekend try to get it to seal.
