Ryan, The disadvantages are that they transmit a some road noise thru the car and that they are illegal for the street. The advantages are that they keep the suspension geometry more constant and give better feedback when dialling in adjustable shocks and springs when racing. When running like 6 deg pos castor the the rubber type chews out and the nolathane type puts heaps of drag on the arm unless corrected. The rose joints have no problem with the arm angled forward for more castor.
