There is nothing worse than selling your baby and finding it written off later. I custom built a short wheel base Landrover years ago. Completely changed the whole vehicle including body shape and wheel base. It had a 307 Chev and without boring you with every little detail it lifted the front wheels on takeoff, went bloody everywhere and I was proud as punch of it. It even attracted some good looking female backpackers on Fraser Island a number of times.
Anyway I became domesticated, got talked into selling it to a friend at mates rates and he wrote it off a week later on Fraser.
