yes you are right but when you pull brand new  ones from a box you biff the old ones in a box in the shed ,cos they look totally different
I know I have a nail box full of used'd ones,but i havnt sorted them out

I have restored old ones by polishing and fitting new rubber outer edge protectors.  They look new.  You  must be very careful not to catch an edge with the polisher though. You can even panel beat a lightly bent one back into shape, fine file and polish it.

I actually bought a O/S eyebrow mould new from Lennock
Motors here in Canberra, the spare parts guy said as
far as he knew they were still availiable.. but they
are not cheap.

I priced the bonnet strip at about $100:00 odd, the
eyebrow moulds were about $50:00 odd ea and are you
ready ... S/Steel strip under the grill was $200:00
odd.

So if you get stuck you should be able to get one new.
