I paid 180 bucks for my 3 inch cat but that was just for the cat.  I don't know what it will cost to put flanges on etc.  I put my cat under the tailshaft with the input just to the rear of the output on the gearbox.  The heat shield sits about 5mm below the tailshaft.  I put it back that far as I reckon that thats the spot that will give the best ground clearance.  If you have it too close to the floorpan, the floor can heat up to a really high temp, so be careful about placement.
