A few month back we were looking for trouble in a mates freshly rebuilt 12A equipped R100. Very well worked rotary currently waiting for it masive turbo to be fitted. Anyway we were looking for a bit of a run and were dissappointed that no-one would play with us.
Found a likely suspect in a 4.1 litre cortina, but it was to no avail. Then were absolutley surprised by a Honda civic (stock standard , not rice boy - no bodykit) which would keep up with the angry little rota. It actually got a car length in from (cause the R100 lauch is still a bit rough) but then held on til the end. Bloody quick those Vtec coupes.
Just goes to show that a honda civic with a standard exhaust can be far quicker the the five in brigade.

Haha, thats the best way to race, give it a little squirt, and then
back off like you dont think they are a big enough challenge to waste
your time on. "hmm, it seems a civic with a 5 inch exhaust is still
just a civic"
Nice work getting the car running. You should try to get your hands on
a borrowed G-Tech and an abandoned piece of road and get some
approximate times.
