Hello James,

My car caught fire in a petrol station while I was giving a lift to
this girl that I was keen on back to Sydney, as a wire that was
passing over a metal retainer finally wore the insulation through. It
blew one of the main fusible links, and I (like an idiot) just assumed
that the link had worn out. Reconnected it, turned the ignition on,
and was greeted with flames. Funny how when you are protecting a car
that you have put a lot of money into that burns from patting out
flaming wires with your hands no longer seems all that bad. I havent
heard from that girl since :)
