If you do some simple maths: - at 2000 rpm each rev takes 30/1000ths secs,
at 8000 rpm each rev takes 7.5/1000ths sec.
Intake stroke is one in four. The inlet charge is in the inlet tract for
(7.5 x 1.5=11.25/1000ths sec.
Time available for heat transfer to air is very small and temp difference
between manifold and air is small so charge heating is small. As air flows
through the manifold it is slowly cooling the manifold all the time as well.
I think the main benefit of this system is for the manufacturers bank
balance rather than any significant improvements in thermodynamic
efficiency.
