Leighton,

The brake pedal height adjuster which is also the brake light switch
actuator goes through the squarish plate that's attached to the side of the
brake pedal with the nut on the back of it by about 3/16" or 3-4mm (not very
far at all.) The nut on the front of the plate which is on the shaft is then
locked down. If you change the position of the brake height adjuster then
you will have to check that the brake light switch is still in synch. The
brake lights should come on just after the pedal travels down a very small
amount. If you have to adjust the switch position take the two leads off
first as they'll twist up and damage the connections on the switch if you
don't. These connections on a 1600 brake light switch are surprisingly
fragile.

regards
Terry

Subject: brakes issue ( again)

Terry you were the man with the explanation before i dont suppose you can
help again??

My brakes have gotten a little more swing in the pedal this time??? however
the drag on the brakes still seems to be there alittle on occasion - now
tell me - when adjusting them to try and get rid of the drag where does that
little adjustable thread just behing the pedal arm that is the cut for the
brakes lights need to be cos that is a pedal adjustment all by itself???

hmm im just not completely happy with my brakes at the moment - good but not
great

thanx

Leighton
