I agree with wot Adam Said the problem was. I just don't like the solution. In A car with a manual gearbox. The easiest way to un-stick a starter is to put the car in third gear with the ignition off. And just push the car like one rotation of your tyre. this will turn the motor and the flywheel which in turn will turn the starter just a little bit hoopefully unsticking it. Then take it out of gear turn the key it should now turn over.
Then If that doesn't work then get out the hammer. In A automatic gearboxed car you have no choice you have to hit it. I hope this helps you.
